Safe, healthy, nutritious food for everyone
The connection between food production, human health, nutrition and environmental impacts is too interrelated to ignore. The local food movement is much bigger than WHERE to buy an heirloom tomato, it’s also about WHY to buy it (too many reasons to list…), HOW we can work so everyone can afford them, and examining WHO is growing the food we eat. Janna will talk about efforts in Baltimore City to have safe, healthy, nutritious food supply for everyone.
About Janna Howley:
To the despair of Janna’s mother, her graduate education at New York University turned Janna Howley from “foodie” to “food activist,” which then launched Janna’s current career as an advocate for local farmers, sustainable agriculture and food security for all.
